Meet Your Guides
We started exactly where you are: holding an old piece of gear and wondering where on earth to begin.
Begin Step OneHow It Began
RoundupRestorySprtz grew out of a shared garage and a pile of family hand-me-downs: a cracked catcher's mitt, a Dunlop Maxply in a battered press and a rusty Raleigh three-speed. We made every beginner mistake along the way, from over-oiling leather to washing a wool jersey too warm. Each mistake taught us something, and we wrote it down.
What We Believe
Restoration should feel calm, not intimidating. We teach the gentlest method first, explain why each step matters and tell you honestly when to stop and call a professional. We favor reversible care that respects the history of an object.
We are independent. We are not sponsored by, paid by or affiliated with any brand or retailer we mention. Names appear only to help you recognize what you own.
How We Write
Every lesson follows the same path: look, clean, care, repair, protect. We test methods on our own practice pieces and check our advice against published conservation guidance. When we update a lesson, we revise the page rather than burying changes. Our guides are educational only; your items and your safety remain your responsibility.
